Data we collect

None. SoloStars has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. The app has no network access: its App Sandbox does not allow outgoing connections.

What the app uses on your Mac

SoloStars talks to the Music app through Apple Events, and only after you allow it in macOS. It reads the name, artist, star rating and favorite status of the track that is playing, and changes the rating or favorite when you click a star or the heart or press a shortcut. This information stays on your Mac and is never sent anywhere.

Settings

Your preferences (heart visibility, shortcuts, launch at login) are kept on your Mac in the app’s own storage. Deleting the app removes them.

Third parties

SoloStars contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. The app is distributed through the Mac App Store; Apple’s privacy policy covers your purchase and download.

This website

stars.soloway.media sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Fonts and images load from our own server. If you choose a language, your browser remembers it in local storage on your device. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser) to keep the site secure; they are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Children

SoloStars collects no data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
